5.9K and my first noise!

There is a rattle while I'm driving over imperfections in the road. I discoved if I close the shade for the sun roof, that takes care of it. How do I fix this as I normaly drive with it open as the glas is tinted. I think the sun roof needs to be adjusted?

Other than that, 6K and all is well! Much better than my last car so far.

No one has had this problem? Also, with the roof titled up, no noise. Only when closed, and the shade pushed back.

I had a rattle and a squeak in my TL....so the dealer installed some sort of sticky tape and it took care of that problem. As for the other 3 rattles/squeaks and my car, they're still very persistent.

I also had the same problem with a rattle coming from my sunroof visor when the visor was open. The rattle went away when I closed the visor. Anyway, the dealer fixed the noise back in July. I also had the more common rattle coming from the sunroof and that was also fixed in July.

I have one more intermittent squeaking noise coming from under my driver's seat that I need to have fixed and then, hopefully, I'll be "rattle" free.

I'm now at 7500 miles and truly enjoy driving my TL-S.

The sunroof rattle was on my old TL and now on my new TLS. It is caused (at least mine was) by the rubber at the front of where the sunroof connects with the roof. If you put some vaseline in between the connection area it should fix it up! Try holding the front rubber piece down first to see if that's the problem.

Sorry, but I don't know how they fixed the rattle in the sunroof visor. Whatever they did, it worked!

apparently the majority of "older people" (30+) get very annoyed when punks (us) go driving by with with our subs pounding hard. I saw it on TLC.....it was a special on "Inventions we love to hate".....car stereos were one of the "hated inventions" because a lot of younger drivers like their music loud. I don't know if this is the general case, but from what I've seen: it is.

(hey, it's my 500th post)

Apparently you would be right. Not to mention the very strong probability that it will damage your hearing over time. That's not a good thing.
