4500 Miles and absolutely NO complaints!
Well, I've had my TL type S for 3 months now and am a little under 4500 miles. I've driven it in all types of driving conditions and on all types of roads. From commuting to work or flooring it through the mountains, I am as hooked as the day I bought it.
Anyways, I just wanted to say that I have had absolutely no problems with the car. No creaks, no rattles, no possessed armrests, no mis-aligned tailpipes, no whistling moonroof, no problems with gas mileage, etc. etc.
With all the complaints that seem to accumulate on the board sometimes, I guess I've been pretty lucky.
Or maybe I just bought a great car..

Or maybe you're still in shock. I know I was on cloud 9 for a while, till I hit a car in front of me during rush hour traffic. That brought be back to Earth pretty quick. Hope you can stay there longer than I did

Loving my 08 TLS!
I didn't have any problems with my car for the first 4 months. After that, it is all downhill with the creaks and rattles. Just give it a little time and you will hear all the annoying noises.

BTW, I have a 99 TL with over 55K miles on it and I still love it like it's day one.

Well I am at 7 months now; got her in March, and the only had a rattle/creaks I had are
1. my sunglasses in the sunglass holder(should have been padded better)
2. Squeeky drivers seat seatbelt buckle(the receptacle part); fixed myself with some WD40
Oh yeah I also drive my car on the Crappy Roads of the Bronx and around NYC everyday with Comptech Springs and Sways, so I am happy so far.

I now have 9,000 miles on my TL-S, and it seems as if the small rattles I had when I bought the car have went away. Thank God, but I absolutely have no complaints and I love this car!!

I just flipped 5000 on mine, no major issues.
The two most annoying things I deal with are:
A creaking noise behind the glovebox when the AC kicks in (dealer knows what it is and fixed it once, but its back - they claim a loose box rubbing a hose.)
Second, and it amazes me Acura didn't catch this one in testing... drive with your windows down. The passenger side belt buckle will flap around like a bat and hit the B pillar, scuffing it! There should have something there to hold the belt in place when its not in use - Jeeps have small velcro tabs. I just buckle the sucker when I drive with the windows down, but this is annoying.
The car has also settled down at an average of 26.2 mpg, my high was 33mph, low was 22mpg, primarily highway and back road miles.

19,500+ miles and no problems.
Sunroof rattle was the only thing, and they fixed that long ago!
Mileage is still around 26mpg, but I do mostly highway driving.
Headers and Sways next week!!!

A very common noise I hear people posting about is the sunroof noise. The noise is very hard to track down - especially with the shade pulled closed. I originally thought the noise was coming from the dash (until I opened the shade and heard it directly).
But, thanks to posts on this site (and a little armor all applied to the sunroof seals) everything is now quiet!
Keep this in mind, I think - over time - it'll probably happen to all TL's.
4 months - 4300 miles

Burning Brakes
It is a relief to see so many people who have TL's built with the quality I would expect from Acura. Since the TL-S is a leading contender for my next car, I have followed the complaints on this board with interest and some apprehension. It had started to seem like Acura quality was fading. Although I'm sure the people who post problems are for real, maybe they are a tiny but vocal minority of TL owners.
