40K miles, original shocks

I have a 2000 TL with 40,000 miles on the original shocks. I want to buy Comptech springs, but I don't know whether to replace the factory shocks yet or not. I would rather go ahead and do it now if necessary. Anyone know where I can get new factory shocks online, or have any advice on this matter? I am pretty sure i don't want Koni's. Thanks, J.T.

Get a coilover system. That way you can get a whole new everything.

I'm not sure where you can get the original shocks online. I assume you could purchase them from a dealer. I CAN say that the combination of Comptech springs and original TL shocks gives an excellent ride, and I advise it. I didn't want the Konis when I upgraded because the resultant ride quality is reported to be too stiff.

75k miles and my rear shocks are the originals. I installed H&R sport when my car had 25k miles. The front shocks were replaced at 52k miles, because of an accident.

I have my Koni's on Soft right now and the ride is as soft as stock. It's adjustable.
