330ci got killed

Yo dudes, I'm proud to say that my TL-P kicked the bejesus out of a BMW 330ci. I was driving down this road, and all of sudden this bimmer drives by really fast like he's got something to say, so we pull up at the next light, it turns green, we take off, and then he gets his @ss handed to him. It was pretty sweet.

I say a race is a race, and by NOT using a sprayer, you did not cheat. Congratulations.

A 330Ci. Impressive!

The problem with these spur of the moment, I don't know who you are 'cause either your windows are too dark or I didn't really look to see if the race was on, stoplight drag races is that you'll never really know if they were tryin'...

It's all in your head many times...

Nice Kill. Would of loved to see the look on the guys face. It's interesting how once someone mentions a kill that involves a 330, GS430...etc etc...everyone thinks it's not possible. I think we're all forgetting that any fool can hold on to a steering wheel, mash the gas pedal all the way down and make a car go in a straight line really really fast, but the real skill is actually having a few cars around and keeping a 330, GS430 or anything that is supposed to be faster than our TL's in our rear view mirror. That's the real skill in driving.

Guys, all I got to say is don't doubt the Acura-TL power. The bimmer was definetly racing and definetly lost. I too had my doubts when he first blew by me and I noticed he was a 330, but as the moment kicked in, and the light turned green, there was no doubt about it, acura's just kick @ss. Believe what you will, I was there and know what happened. Have faith guys.

Just last week I saw the last part of a race between a 2002/2003 TL-P and a BMW 330i. I made a left at a signal to get onto a 6 lane road and as soon as I get on, the light turns green for the traffic already on this road and I hear some tire squealing right behind me. Before I can look back, I see the two cars flying past me. The TL-P had a car on the 330i so I decided to join in. I was able to catch up to them pretty easily and then passed them both at ~65 mph so the TL-P was probably not too highly modded. I believe TheRockShow because I have seen quite a few surprisingly slow 330i's in the last few years. Maybe they are carrying some really nice stereo systems or something or have a trunk full of stuff.

I have seen a fully modded TL-s run against a stock 330i no mods auto, and the tl-s got its a$$ wooped.

therockshow, why are you even arguing. A 330 is hands down faster than a TL-S on paper and in practice. Are you positive it wasn't a 325??? To give Type-S's some credit I raced a friends stock TL-S and he kept up with me (330i stock) above 90 but he didn't stand a chance off the line or from 30, 40, 60.

The 2002 Acura TL Type-S kicked the BMW's booty in the Edmunds test.

why u guys gotta hate? What's the big deal. 330cis are not that fast.. 225hp vs 220hp... ok they have the weight advantage, but its still not that far-fetched. Auto vs auto, it would be close. Auto vs stick...the bmw would kill the TL.

The www.bmw.ca website puts the 0-100 km/h (0-62.5 mph) time of a 2003 330Ci (manual) at 6.8 secs. When I was researching the TL-S, I was seeing quotes of 0-60 in 6.6 secs for a stock TL-S. By my thinking, that puts a TL-S and 330 at just about the same place (the TL-S might even win by a hair). I'd also guess that TL-S do even better if you went past 100km/h. Put a TL-S against an auto 330, and the 330 would probably get killed.

im sure he had to be trying ...or therockshow wouldnt be saying it was a race...im guessing the guy in the 330 didnt have it floored... and its the guy in the 330's fault that he didnt try harder...if he doesnt have the balls to floor it..he deserves to lose...
