2G TL quad projectors project

It's been a while and i've decided to swap my blacked out headlights with projectors.

After looking around I've decided to go with FX-R bi-xenon and and Morimoto Mini H1 stage III. I don't think I need 2 FX-Rs.

The only one thing, I'm not sure yet, is which shrouds to use:

- Orbit: http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pro...oducts_id=1356
- Apollo http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pro...roducts_id=130

Both looks really good for me, what you guys think?

Also, i wanna put HALOs too, I know i might be rice and bmw wannabe, but i'll try to make it look good. If not, I can leave them off and call it a day until i'll open headlights again.

I'm planning to completely black them out , maybe will only leave back housing for turn signals (like a have now.)

Let me know if you have any ideas how to do them.

Thanks!

No offense but why would you want 4 projectors? I'm guessing this will cost you upwards of 2000$ unless you are doing most of the labour yourself. I would save that kind of money for a comptech supercharger or a 6 speed swap unless you have them already. i have stock reflectors with after market ballasts and xenarx ICB d2r bulbs and it's pretty damn bright. there is very little glare (no reflection on road signs above). i have philips x-treme vision 9005 for high beams and they are very bright (almost hid). also installed 9006 hid on fogs with glare shields. never got high beamed on the the road. cost me 200$ this whole thing lol. brighter lights on a budget but hey I saved a lot of money since I'm not good with retrofitting. sorry couldn't be any help lol.

No offense but your headlights have nothing on projectors. A good set of projectors are much better.

retros are the way to go, and a setup can be as little as 300 if you source the parts carefully and do the labor yourself. Its not hard and you've got to be insane to pay 2000 before at least trying it yourself.

Good setup, the morimotos should screw right into your hi beams. Personally I wouldn't put halos on, to keep it a bit classy. Looks like you have a game plan tho, post pics of your process

pickler, lol, parts are worse ~$500 brand new

Complete Morimoto Mini H1 stage III H1 Kit with Orbit shrouds: $295
FX-R bi-xenon projectors: $135
Orbit shrouds: $40
Morimoto 3Five D2S bulbs: $45
Total normal price = $515.00

Minus discount. Plus pair of OEM headlights i've bought from member here: ~$100.

If you count labor add another few hundred of time

btw, anyone knows what kind of LED are those?
I know he is a member here, but don't wanna bother him, since I not even sure i'll do it.

As for the CCFL, I still may try it. I've found another retrofit, 1 and 2 and doesn't look so bad at all. I don't like his halos as well as projectors, but the idea is really good. That something I have in my had.

What you guys think about shrouds?

damn americans, get everything for cheap
i was quoted around $1k for a set of s2k projectors retrofit. but i barely can notice the difference between say my rdx and 135 or tl light beams. until you get close to a wall or some close objects you can tell the sharp cutoff. anyways im happy with mine lolz.

I'd have to assume that along with the light output the aesthetics ar another reason he wants to do this...

I like it simple, single projector, smooth shroud, no angel halos.

Where are the pics? Surely there has to be some progress by now. I have FX projectors in my Civic and they are super nice projectors. I did the TSX clear lense swap, and spaced them for a bit more blue in the cutoff. But my stock lenses were fluted so I lost all the blue. LOL. I am interested in the retro for sure... have thought about it for my tl quite a bit....
