P1768 Code
P1768 Code
Hey guys
About a month ago my car threw 2 codes at me P0141 (which I know is for the O2 sensor) and P1768 (this is the one I'm more concerned about).
From searching on this forum and google I have come to find that it (p1768) means "Clutch pressure control solenoid valve A failure". The reason I started a new thread is because unlike the other guys I haven't experienced any weird shifts or anything other unusual with my tranny. I have probably put about 1500kms on it so far and nothing different. I tried resetting the code and the light came back on as soon as I turned the car back on. I'm not sure what to do or should I even be concerned? I really don't like looking at a CEL every time I drive my car.
Any suggestions would be useful.
Thx

The fluid level is good and looks ok but it does smell slightly burnt. However, it is about time that I change it. I bought this car with 40,000kms on the tranny and since then I have done a 3x1 every 10-14,000kms. So far I have changed the tranny fluid 3 times (3x1) over the last 40,000km and one of those times I did a 3x2. It has been about 10,000km since my last change(3x1).
I'm probably going to do a 3x2 over the next few days and try resetting the code although I doubt that will change anything.

Any idea where to find them? I was reading somewhere that some guy tried to clean them and then his car stopped moving altogether. Maybe it would be better just to replace if they are not too expensive?
