Talked to some guy at the gas station he was a sales consultant at acura of manhattan he told me that the 2004 tl will have 300 horsepower and will be offered with 6 speed manual , he also said it will have a very similar inside to the TSX but only better. He said "if you think the new maxima is nice wait till you see the new tl " he also said the 2005 rl will be a v8 with RWD ? Is it possible?

 

Sounds like this guy has been reading the rumor mill.

WE know for sure the car will have a 6 speed, but everything else about the TL and RL has been deemed false in other threads.

 

i work for acura too! i know for a fact it will have a 1000 hp turbine powering ALL 4 WHEELS. 0-600 mph in 0.5 seconds. and to make the turning radius even better, it will also have 4-wheel steering. it will also be mid engine... just like some super cars. and its only gonna be $35,000.

 

What if I don't like the new Maxima?

Oh boy, looks like this thread is going the way of any thread that mentions the new TL.

BTW, it is also going to use BMW's SMG II and four zone climate control along with 315/35/22 tires all the way around.

 

My cousin works at the plant in Ohio. I will try to get scoopage.

 

It's as simple as this, it will have as much or more as the current Type S. 20 hp more is prolly max. The rest is all rumors, speculations and just plain ole wishfull thinking. We will not know till we know.
