I am going to purchase a 2002 TL-NonNav with dealer spoiler & moonroof deflector. How much should I pay for this in Texas? Edmunds says around 28500. Also are there any computer chips to make mine closer to a type-S? And if there is, where do I get them?

 

okay, since you are not choosing between a 2001 & 2002. I would say that just get the type-S if you are into performance. The reason why I say that is because the 2001 looks better IMHO, and they were offered in a great discount.

Yes, you do pay more for the TL-S, but you also get VSA which is a way better traction control system compared the TCS found on TL-P. With the Bimmer, and Volvo that option alone is gonna cost you at least 6 bill. The seats on the type-S is also a lot better. Not to mention the better looking rims and beefed up tranny and engine.

 

If I were you......I would definately go for TL type S......(& w/NAV if I have enough $$ )
