2002 drivers window on a 99 TL?

Hi everyone,
Anyone know if the drivers side window switch from a 2002 would have the same connections as the 99 TL? I want the auto-up feature.
let me know if you have done this mod.
Thanks.

it should work. The auto up feature is in the switch itself, so as long as the wire will plug in, it should work fine. You can still get it work if the harness plugs do not match up, but it will require you cutting and crimping yourself which might not be worth it.

Does your 02 tl not have the auto up on the driverside?

you can try calling acura for the part numbers for each.

or check out http://www.acuraoemparts.com/ if the exploded diagram shows the same part #?

I'm curious too because my 2000 TL only has auto down. Even my sister's 97 BMW and my other sister's 99 VW Passat have auto up and down.

Has anybody been able to verify if this would in fact work? If it does I'm buying a switch.

It wont work. The module is different in the switch itself and requires the memory module to be connected for it to even function. Been there, done that which was a waste of time and money. Sorry Eventually the switches did come in handy when I converted the 99tl window switches to light up like the later model TL.

And I'm still looking into modding a mirror switch from later models that are backlit to work in the non backlit switch.

It could possibly be done, but like you mentioned in a post before about the safety part of it. There is no logic built in for collision detection, so pretty much if your hand is in the way, you are F**ked.
