I have a 2001 TL. My driver side headlight / low beam is dimmer than the passenger side. It also occasionally takes a few minutes to start, so only the passenger side would be on. I replaced both with HID bulbs. They are roughly around the same color now. The problem with the driver side taking a few minutes to start persisted. Has anyone else had this issue and have suggestions?

Sounds like you might be dealing with a ballast issue, but I'd search for some other threads to get some more info first - since ballasts aren't exactly the cheapest things in the world.

 

Thanks! I suspected it might be a ballast problem as well. In the past two days, my driver side headlight has been working fine. Until it becomes a reoccurring issue, I will hold up on the fix.
