Ok, I understand that racing is bad, but tonight was one of the most interesting nights I ever had. Let me make this story short and sweet.

1st race - I was on my way to the city to meet up with some of my friends for dinner. I was at rt 280 in NJ between exits 1 - 7 when this occurred. It was a SAAB 9-5 (250hp turbocharged from SAAB website) The guy zoomed by me, so I decided to tailgate him for a while. He then gunned it and I followed and I went on the third lane while he was on the left lane. There was no cars for miles, so I put it into 4th gear and give it all I can. We both hit 120mph, then I was even with him 125, then passed him at 130mph and just kept going. Next time I know I was doing 135+ :wow: So I slowed down since he was like 10 cars behind me. :o I then flip the switch on for my blue underbody neons to show him my victory. After that, we hit some traffic, but he was never able to catch up.

2nd race - I was coming back home from dinner and I was on eisenhower pkwy and this 92-95 legend coupe tailgated me for a while with his highbeams. Then he switch to another lane and he gunned it and got a car length ahead of me. So I decided to gas mine and he started to speed, but I blew by him at 100mph. This was in a 50mph zone.

The cop - Well, I was almost home. I was pulling into my street. This car tailgates me with his highbeams again. Lucky for autodimming mirrors, I quickly realized that this guy is a cop. Fvck! I was inches away from my driveway, praying that he doesn't turn on his flashers. I quickly pull into my driveway and he stopped looking at me making sure this is my house. I open my garage doors and then he made a U turn and then gone away.

That's it! Please no flames!

not that i am saying you are a liar but its hard to believe that you beat the turbo saab by that much. maybe he wasnt trying as hard since you were hitting triple digit speed...

 

phew.....close call with the cop it sounds like. nice races, nice luck. i think those saabs are so damn sweet. the new viggens just look badass IMO.

 

of course the saab backed down..

At what point do you think the cop saw you? Do you think he had his high beams on to try to trick you and have you gun it?

I'm curious as to when the cop came into the picture and/if he saw anything

Sounds like you took out a 185 HP or 200 HP version b/c an Aero would eat you up at higher speeds, assuming the driver knew what s/he was doing

I ask people around my school if they want to race and then they ask me what car i drive and then they're like uuuhhh...no thanks...i'm so bored!! I even try to be first at a 2 lane light and i always see people in cars that can barely make it up a hill. The last race i had was against a integra type r, and i had to slow down to 20 mph in a 40 to let him catch up with me, and he had to nerve to try to follow me....some people....

Hey AcuraKiddd, what's going to happen now cuz of the arrest? In Canuckistan (Canada), I don't believe we get arrested for that, for speeding, we get a ticket however when over 49km/h over the limit saying "go to court" to determine fine.

 

guy, rt 280 was covered with cops the other day. NOT a good place to be speeding. I would see one cop checking on speeders, and of course as people pass him, they would speed up thinking that it is safe, then there would be another cop waiting. I saw this on several occasions. Mad sneaky.

 

eh? im on 280 all the time.. thats what i use to commute most of the time and i RARELY ever see cops on there.. for a year that ive been using that route, ive seen a cop maybe once or twice.. but never covered.

 

This sounded pretty interesting.
