1st gear redline issue

ok so heres the problem....when im using SS mode and in 1st gear my car only hold the gear till 6k rpm. it acts like its bouncing off the limiter and then sometimes it forces it to go all the way to 7k after bouncing at 6k. if i gate shift it doesnt seem to happen as often and i can hold the gear. this might be happening in 2nd gear too i just havent had the time to run some tests.

what could the problem be? tranny on its way out? should i reset the ecu?

The SS mode is designed to automatically upshift from 1 to 2nd so you dont forget and overrev it in a parking lot after being on the freeway.
The other gears in SS you have control over.
Stop abusing the trans and engine- the torque band- power is way below redline- especially in 1st.
If you are racing you are losing!!!

sick: here is the link to online owner manual
The TCS only works to 16 mph/20kph and then stops
Its design intent was icy or snow starts
It applies the brake to the faster wheel in an ABS fashion- slows 1/4 mile times~
