Oh yeah. Your wheels/tires are part of your suspension. So, the smaller sidewall would give less body roll, providing a more responsive car. The wider tire will give more traction, too. You would notice better performance in every way, except maybe slow corners. Oh, the wider tire 'might' sacrifice a tenth of a mpg.

to have the same acceleration, you need a lighter 19" than 18" because of the force needed to move mass that is further away
torque = FD
since torque is the same, and d is increased, F is decreased
19" don't handle that much better than 18", but they do have better response due to smaller sidewall, but body roll is THE SAME
springs and swaybars prevents body roll, not tires, but then again if you have better tires (pirelli), the more traction, and the more body roll, body roll is not induced just by having smaller tire side-wall
be warned, pirellis wear out fast

Don't get 19's if you like to run your TL hard..19's are too big, slow acceleration, slow braking, and our suspensions are not set up to use 19's..Yeah 19's look tight on our cars, but unless you want to cruise around like your in a cadillac and never have some fun, you are gonna want 18's. They are better for our suspensions and better for overall performance for our cars. It's really a choice between bling bling or performance..I personally choose performance. If I want bling bling, I will get an SUV and throw 22's on it.

And as for the bling bling appearance my 19" HRE 540s w/ full polish look better, are lighter and built better than the wheels made for our cars by Enkei.....

Easy NSX boy, no need to get nasty..You spent a ridiculous amount of money on your HRE's which I will agree with you are awesome rims for build quality, weight, and look..But most of us aren't going to spend that type of money on 19's(I just have better things to do with that much money) and therefore most 19's are just too damn heavy..Our suspensions are NOT designed for such large wheels, numerous experts have told me that, from suspension people, to master mechanics, and shop owners. SO MY RESEARCH PAPER is substatiated by professional advice from experts. I dont know what your background is, but I will be going with what numerous pros have been telling me. 18's are much better for the "best" performance and handling. 19's do look better and definitely make our cars stand out more, but for REAL WORLD handling and performance, 18's are a better fit for a TL.
