1999 TL Blower Harness Replacement

So, I'm trying to replace the connector for the blower and I have the pieces from the service manual that show the glove box and glove box cover removal and harness replacement.

I got the glove box off, the cover, not so much as manual shows the two "B" screws and I only found the bottom one. The cover is tight to the center console. I assume the second screw is behind the side plate of the center console. Do I have to remove the center console to get this cover off?

Anyway, I got enough room to get to the harness, unplugged the brown one (which is attached somehow to two others) and due to the cover still being partially attached, it's a pain to manipulate easily. I have a small screwdriver that I am trying to release the pin on the connector but finding that difficult.

Any help with the cover removal and terminal removal (or disconnection of the harness plugs from one another) would be greatly appreciated.....

Fortunately I have verified that the resistor and blower motor are good and the harness from Acura was <$12. In fact the price on the blower motor from Acura was the cheapest I found ($116) and the resistor price was ($61) from Acura, but cheaper elsewhere ($45).

Thanks

Be vigalant and persist in your efforts. With the "FSM" in hand and some finesse.....the connector may need to be replaced with a new wiring harness. It's good to know that the blower motor and resistor pack is tested working......so simply direct your focus on removing the old PITA junk harness and replace it with a new one. Patience is the virtue of essence now. You can do it !!! If ya don't mind working in a compromised position.

I am replacing the blower harness, but I still have to get the old wire out of the brown connector to insert the new harness... PITA is right... still haven't gotten it... too old to stay in a compromising position for too long....

Ya know that the old connector is probably welded and fused itself, so proceed carefully.

Make sure that after the repair is done you put Die Electric grease on the connections to avoid issues like that.

Have ya tried running the climate control's self diagnostic feature yet ?
It might show a fault or short, IDK. Also check the fuses.

No, how do you run it?

I bought a smaller pick and got the terminal out. Working good now.

Went to bleed the brakes, found a cv joint boot split wide open
