i want to change my boring HID bulbs which are stock on my 2000 TL but i dunno which ones to get i want something that rlly stands out and i rlly want purple dunno about blue on a firepepper red car ..i love the deep purple look but tell me wat u guys think of the the 12k for 145 on this page http://www.hidking.com/d2bulbs.htm

Are they reliable as far as being good lights and not lieing to you and sending you less K lights? i also like the purple ones excelerate sells but i dont think theyre purple enough ..id like to see a pic of those on a TL the 6500k purple ...if youve upgraded ur HID bulbs post up a pic and wat type they are and wat K ...also where u got them thnx alot

 

i like the stock white hids....personaly i dont like the blue and purple hid's there to colory

 

Purple is, well, purple, hence illegal. I would rather have greater visibility than color. When I do upgrade, I would probably go for 6k max. 12k does look interesting when coming down the road, but not really a good purchase.

 

Its illegal for 1, and 2, why have purple lights. The useable light output is less than factory.

 

never heard of anyone getting stopped for their HIDS here in miami...maybe tints sometimes but never HIDs getting stopped isnt a problem maybe light output is a little factor i just dont think blue would look good on my FPR ...8000k would be blue...i want that purpleish color..which is 12k unless i see some pics of other ones or nice blue ones so post some pics guyz plz

 

just go with 6000k... white with a hint of purple.. very nice and great light output...

get stock, 5000k, or 6000k

 

I don't have HID's from the factory on my car, but I did a 8500K kit. I do like the blue color headlights but if I could do it again I would go 6000K.

WHY would you want a headlight bulb that would be usless for doing what they are supposed to be doing. LIghting up the road with useable light. It would be gay red. Keep teh colors for the ricey crap like underbody neons

Get 8500K, I got them and they are SWEET and nice blue. I have dropped about 5K into this car in the 6 months I got it. But all everyone asks me about in this order and %:


(1) Stupid ass blue interior lights ($22) 70% of people
(2) Changed HID to 8500K 25% of people
(3) 18" Enkie Rpm2 hyperblakc wheels 5% of people

 

that'S the way it is now.... people dont know shit and dont care about all the nice mods you could have... all they want to know about is the lights and shit...

 

You CAN get pulled over for the in FL for having blueish or purplish headlights...

The only legal colors visible on the front of a car in FL are white and amber.
