yeah definitely....it'll be brighter if you stand by the headlights with candles....go with 8000k.....that's very blue though, it sounds like you like the purple look.

no, you do NOT need the whole kit... all you need is the bulb. the bulb is D2R for all '99-'03 TL's.

The D2S bulbs are for projector head lights. They do not apply to the 2nd gen TL.

eventhough they are made for projector headlights... you can still use them (D2S) in the TL. a little modification to the bulb is all it takes.

true, but the light goes all over the place with these two hot spots in the middle because D2S don't have that shield over the bulb....... just my

right BUT Y do you want them. at 10,000 you will NOT have brighter headlights. as teh K goes up the useable light goes down. meaning they wont be as bright as teh factory ones

D2R (stock bulbs) have this metal shield on the top of each bulb to protect other incoming drivers from glare and also putting most of the light output in front of you with this cutoff line... but when you install modified D2S (which is meant for projectors type headlights) then you won't have that shield and therefore light goes all over the place, not to mention there goes the cutoff line..

And why would you want purple lights? Thats a little :ghey: if you ask me. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

If you're going to pimp out your lights, 8000k is a much nicer color IMO.

first of all ....10,000k is not :ghey:.....it's :ultraghey: (ultragay)....

i think 8000k is pushing the light output limit....any more and you'll be lighting candles....

and although they may look "cool" they suck donkey balls. they dont light up the road very well and can be annoying to oncoming drivers.

if you want some other bulb than stock, go with 8000k....it's as high as you should go K wise.....if you go higher than 8000k, you better look for candles for sale at a dollar store or something to mount on your bumper.....

okay, i know how to solve this....

THIS IS 8000k....IS THAT BLUE ENOUGH FER YA??

10000k in 01 TL, what u gotta remember is that the 99-01 TL has the cover over the light and because of that you do not get a true purple color with 10000k, its more of an indigo, as for the 2002-2003 tls i dont know

You do realize that the police could give you a ticket for those?

To me, there is nothing original about blinding drivers, causing a nuisance and a safety hazard with them.

In some places, yes.

In addition, it could be considered a danger to others on the road.

And it's not brighter, it's a darker blue. Blue lights are illegal to use on any car besides emergency vehicles.

yes
OEM with 4100k is brigher than 6000K

6000k only gives a more blueish color in light, but doesn't get any brighter, somebody did the test on this b4

also 6000k will increase the chance of getting stop by police on the streets, i don't want to draw the attention.

there are plenty of places to get them in TO

no need to buy online~

it's way more convinient to buy in local if they have them for similar price, i don't even mind to pay a little more if it's within 5-10%
