Question 09 tl sh-awd intake manifold swap

i was just wondering if this would work

http://powerrevextras.com/catalog/pr...roducts_id=227

would this part allow me to be able to swap the 09 tl sh awd 3.7L intake manifold on to my j32a2 03 tl type s

just wondering has anybody done this before and would it yeild more gains then putting the p2r power plenum?

What are you expecting? Any gain at teh wheels is good gain. Not many other mods you do yield more.

see this is why they need to take down that dyno. his car had compression issues the entire time before and after, i dont think its a fair representation of what this mod can do.

if you do it kdawg, make a before and after dyno if you can

^ Its a new car. Dealer is your best bet. Unless you're lucky enough to find it a junk yard.

I remember reading that there was only 4 in the whole country when civicdrvr and e30 did it. And there went 2 of them...lol

I will be doing this mod.

If I can I will try to get proper before and after dynos.

Rajca, Im installing my MDX IM Spacer this week. . . are you running 2 P2R thermal gaskets or just one?

EDIT: Whoever is doing this mod, don't forget you will need the 09 TL to 03 TL Throttle Body Adapter from P2R

My It will fit the 99 just fine. You will probably have to buy the 00+ lower manifold but it will bolt to that just fine. A bunch have converted the 99 im to the type-s without issues

I had significant gains from this mod. I feel it tied all the other mods together. Power is rightnow & increased throughout the rev range.

You'll also need new fuel rails, injectors and fuel pressure regulator. The intake manifold won't sit properly on the lowers with the 99 fuel rail and injectors.

I just ordered the 09 TL IM/P2R Adapter/4" Intake tube.....I hope I get great gains from this. I already have the Ridgeline IM spacer, headers, Pulleys, and full exhaust. I dyno'd @ 265 whp 235 Torque 13.6 @ 103 mph....with the new parts im hoping to be in the 280's whp range...I got my fingers crossed
