A weird noise from the engine when the car starts to move. No noise will driving or running the car idle. Only when I put it is a gear and press the accelator.

I know this is not easy to tell unless....am thinking of taking it to the dealership.

no, its like an abs self-check test or something like that (the abs isn't actually engaged)

probably when you hit like 5mph or something it will make that noise

Does it do twice? Once at like 3mph and again at like 12mph? And then won't do it again until you turn the car off and back on again? If so, it's normal. I can't even remember what it is, but if that's it, it's perfectlly normal!!

If it's like a grinding/rumbling (??) noise, then it's fine. It will do it twice. ABS self-check first, then the VSA self-check test. It's in your owner's manual.

Yes it is around 3mph and sounds like "'zinnggg". Once I accelerate it goes away, just does it once. or twice. I will turn the car off and then start again, and as soon as I start to drive I would hear the noise, never more than twice.

Yeah, it's the ABS then VSA self-test. Nothing to worry about. I would start worrying if you didn't hear those sounds on every start/drive.

wow thanx i was wondering the same thing, my 00TL never made a noise but my type s does, and it still does with the new tranny so im glad to know its normal
