LOL. I wonder if they really work. I found some for 1 cent and 40 bux shipping. I doubt that they are good quality, and you get what you pay for.

49 cent coilovers don't even belong on a damn remote control car. What the hell is ur friend thinking. Shame on you guys for even considering this for a TL.

If all you are looking for is a drop and the most shitty ride quality ever known to man you will be satisfied. His alignment will suck, it wil either be incredibly stiff or incredibly bouncy, and the other suspension parts are going to suffer quickly.

LOL... when it snaps and the car is lying on it belly, make sure you have a video camera around, and send it to america's funniest home video.

well im sure the springs suck but in order to be sold legally they DO have to meet some kind of safety standard or the guy can be sued for everything so im sure they will be safe, the car will just bounce more than the low riders in a rap video

why is everybody freaking out on "integrity" of these springs?

of course they'll hold up without breaking, it's not like those cheapy springs are made of aluminum or anything. hahah

think of it like this: it costs probably $20 to manufacture a few feet of mild steel into a rolled compressed spring. So if they have overstock, it's no biggie to let them go for pennies on the dollar.

The cheapy APC springs are made the same way. They won't BREAK on you, but rest assured, the ride WILL be bouncy (rates are obviously not measured) and they will probably put extra strain on the toe, camber, and caster components of the original suspension system, including ball joints and struts.

IMO, just don't do it man. It will take time to install them, torque everything down to spec, then realize it was just a waste of $$ when you could have spent an extra $100 to get a used set of Ground Controls that have much more sufficient spring rates.

good luck with it anyways

Man, this thread is still ongoing... Hey, once you find out (and let us all know) how pathetic these puppies are as auto coilovers, don't trash em.

Take the front pair and attach each to the bottom of your shoe, slipper, foot, etc. Now you'll be the new kid on the block with aftermarket pogo wear!

Plus, you won't have to share your kick-@$$ toy with anyone, because you can invite a friend and give him (or her) the rear pair.

So go ahead and bounce around town to get where you're going because driving will be a thing of the past.
