not exactly, the piping is still an addition to just having the stock box w/ K&N Filter
After looking at those pipes, I'm very certain that they are universal pipes you can get from AutoZone for very cheap. The filter looks like a no-name brand K&N knock-off, and I wouldn't trust its filtering capability.
I will say two things -- you will have a bitch of a time to fit it in most likely; and if you decided to get this, then please get a new, good, filter.
Good luck.

yea ur gonna have a hard time putting on, a friend of mine bought one of those cheap intakes off ebay and it didnt fit his car for shittt, the pipe was aim towards the battery lol, he ended up selling it.
why not just try to look for a used aem cai for like 100 bucks if u can, that intake is gonna be 50 shipped then a k&n filter will be like 30 bucks maybe more, impretty sure its more for the cone filters, thats almost 80-100 bucks.

I am always surprised when people who spend $$$$ on a nice car like a TL, go cheap with something as important as a CAI. You'd be better off just replacing the the stock air filter with a K & N.
BTW, CAI stands for Cold Air Intake. If the Air Intake never gets out of the engine compartment, you're still pulling in heated air. Also, metal piping absorbs engine compartment heat much more than the plastic composite material used in a CAI like the Icebox.

no, No, NO, HELL NO
I used a cheap system like that on my Accord I had a few years back. Believe me when I tell you, I was better off blowing the air into the engine myself. First off, if its doesn't fit right, it will vibrate against something (hopefully something trivial.) causing it to wear a hole into the cheap (what looks like) aluminum in this case.
Also, aluminum heats up fast, very fast, and if you don't believe me just hold up a lighter to an aluminum can. I realize the pipe is thicker, but the engine bay is also hotter.
One more thing, the cheap "cai" usually suck air from a lower part of the engine bay, never actually leaving the engine bay.
Honestly, you spent all this money on your ride (wanted to use c*r but hate that anyoing little add that pops up when you scrole over the word.
)already, just spend a little bit extra and save yourself the headache later. You get what you pay for.
The AEM's, and K&N's of the world didn't get to where they are now by selling the cheap shit. So their must be a reason why this product costs what it does.
Cai
I vote for the Comptech Icebox CAI - it will be much easier to maintain the filter due to its location. And, I believe you can use a K&N cone filter instead of the supplied foam element that comes from Comptech.
This is a great post.
