Got my AEM CAI installed today

Wow...what a difference. The guy who did mine charged me $65 to do it and also did the extra mod at the end of the instructions.

I must say it is VERY nice sounding and has ALOT more jump off the line. Also has more to give at the 'end' of the rev spectrum.
FYI: IT DOES NOT SOUND GHETTO!!!

It feels very nice. Below are some pics.

Here are some pics of what was REMOVED:

Extra mod?...well I'm not judging your statement, as I did the same but if my memory doesn't fail me, it was so the sensor gets a more accurate reading being closer to the filter on the tube vs where the original location was....but call it what you want, bottom line I too love the TL with the CAI, and as you mentioned your car comes alive, you have a 5AT imagine a 6spd....my kid says it sounds like a turbo spooling when you punch it...I don't know...

I heard one of the members here on the 2nd Gen TL with the AEM CAI and once he punches the gas.....you can hear him roaming down the road and it makes this low roar and swoosh/hiss noise that you will hear from a turbo system. It does sound a bit like a turbo. The noise you get from the AEM CAI sounds very aggressive and more when you kick into VTEC. I can't wait to put an order soon for my TL.

I changed mine this morning after reading about the "extra mod" aka moving the IAT sensor. I jumped on I-95 south and noticed a difference in the sound and performance.

Yeah, the CAI intake has got to be one of the most simple, bang for your buck mods offered for our 3gens especially if you install it yourself. I love passing by cars on the highway as the VTEC roars and people look at you like, "damn! is that the new TL?"

Damn straight beeeyotch!

Just installed Injen intake myself this weekend......05 Tl auto.....WOW, it brang all the other stuff I did to life! I was waiting until after my first oil change, which happened friday. Yep- best bang for buck deal you can get! Was a bit disappointed with all the mods prior to that...that brought everything together!
