Three Wheelin'
I can tell you my dealer here in canada charges 119 cdn. So I went to woodbine where they charge 79 bux.
Whatever, an alignment is an alignment, it's kinda hard to screw it up.

Do not get an alignment unless you really need it. They are basically bending metal which makes it weaker. It's my expierence that cars don't go out of alignment unless something bad happened to it.
My 97 Maxima has over 85k on it and it still goes perfectly straight.
If you think your car is out of alignment make sure you drive it down a perfectly flat road to test it. Most roads are pitched to allow the rain to roll off of it. Since the road is pitched that will make you hold the wheel to the left or right depending on what side of the pitch you are on.
Also, worn tires could be caused by under or over inflation.

Doopstr, it's recommended that you get an alignment when you lower your car. I had the Comptech's installed so I wanted to get the specs as close to stock after that as I could. They charged $119.00 for front and back when it's normally $49.99 had I not lowered it. I was wondering if that was a reasonable price. When I had my CRX I never got an alignment even after new tires, just wasn't necessary.

doopstr,
they don't bend the metal in doing an alignment. The TOE is adjustable. But that's the only thing they usually do on hondas. Camber and casters arn't adjustable on hondas, but they don't bend the suspension arm in correcting it, they simply leave it as it (unless you put on a camber kit)..

From a former service station manager: if there are extra adjustments that can be done after a new part(s) installed (like being able to adjust caster/camber after non-OEM part is installed), it may cost extra - usually up to 1 hour of labor - on top of regular alignment price. However, if you just installed springs, there are no new adjustments, unless you got a camber kit too.
Check your paperwork, especially alignment specs printouts - before and after, see what they had to adjust. This may give you a better idea wether you paid a fair price or not.

I recently paid $90 at a dealership and felt that I got hosed. $60 sounds a lot better.
Took my last car to the local Goodyear store and I remember they did a good job for cheap.
