Post "briarwood" shiftknob

I know this guy who has a genuine Acura "briarwood" shiftknob that fits our TL. I've heard of Acura's mahogany and burlwood colors, but not briarwood. Does anyone know if it matches our stock wood.

Who cares, every optional thing from dealer is a big rip off. the ****ing dealer told me the rear spolier cost 800 which I can find exactly the same shit for 300 or something. forget about the wood shift knob from Acura, and get something nice and good from local car shop.

Burlwood matches, mahogony does not. I've never heard of "briarwood" though...

The burlwood does look nice, and I even at one time had a Momo aftermarket knob that didn't look as good as the Acura knob.

The lady at the dealer who sells all the accessories (locking lug nuts, wings, etc.) tried to sell me the burlwood knob for $180. She told me you needed special tools to put it on. I just walked to the parts department at Acura and bought it for like $90 and screwed it on myself. What a ****.

I bought what I thought was the burlwood know off the internet. I put it on, and just a few days ago saw another one on the net that said it was "briarwood." This is the know I have. The color match is good, but it is not burl (on close inspection), but it is REALLY nice looking. I don't know if there is a true burlwood know. I guess I will have to go to the dealer.

I have the burlwood shift knob. i told the guy to throw it in or else. anyways, i like it. it does improve are already lacking FAKE wood interior. At least I can say I have real wood in my car now. I saw both, Mahogany is generally a better wood, but i nthis case burlwood matched almost perfectly. so i got it.
