Tire monitor's?

Does any one know if the sensors have battries?

Yes, they have batteries. Most are not replaceable, but sealed units by design. The manufacturers do not want batteries rolling around in the wheel after 5 years because some cover failed. Think about the stress these things go through with every turn of the wheel, especially at high speed. I have read that the TPMS lithium batteries last between 5 and 10 years.
