Continental DW is what's going on my tires in the summer.

If you got the cash, Michelin PS2 is a no brainer.

If you're lacking cash, then Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110

If you want to go all season, Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus is an excellent tire, though it costs an arm and a leg like the PS2 (plus rib).

Sonny, any special discounts for AZ members? I see Conti DW 245/45/18 @ $180 per tire before shipping, can you improve on that?

I bought my DWS recently at another shop cause they were cheaper and in stock.

I buy from you guys a bunch, this could improve our relationship

Though I would love to be able to give an extra discount, the best price is the one online.

That's the mentality I had until I actually bought a set for my old 19" Prodrive wheels last summer. Not sure if I should have gone for the 98Y load model but I bought the 94Y PS2s and felt there was a lack of responsiveness for 40-series tires. The handling didn't improve much compared to the OEM MXM tires I had on my 17" RL wheels. I was expecting a noticeable improvement in cornering but was disappointed. I should also note this could have been a result of the 38 offset wheels or the overall weight drop from each corner (~6-7lbs each wheel/tire combo)

An expensive lesson to learn but I love how quiet Michelin tires are so I will be loyal to the brand, for now.

I have no idea how you tested your tires, but MXM4 does not hold the road very well.

I've had them on 3 cars and I swiped em out right away. Something must be fishy with your setup if you didn't feel much difference...

just as a comparison, I had MXM4 on my Maxima, when I swiped them out for Michelin Pilot Sport A/S (all season) the difference was so large I stopped slowing down for 90 degree turns.

I would have to believe PS2s should provide a more dramatic difference than that. Maybe the springs are too soft for you to feel more secure about more agressive turns so you aren't actually testing their limits.

In that case, get H&R springs

The MXM4s would break loose but nothing overly dramatic and easily controlled with oversteer (throttle induced). The PS2s didn't break loose at all. I think they were SO sticky that it revealed the limits of the A-Spec suspension.

I know this isn't a sports sedan in the traditional sense but the RL was my daily driver in the summer and I have an obsession with corners.
