Excessive tire wear after adding H&R springs
I'm about to order the H&R springs for my 05 RL but was warned by a buddy of mine that it will result in serious tire wear. Has anyone had that issue after installing H&R springs?
thanks

i have HR sports and didn't need a camber kit until about 3.5 years after install..the springs settled and eventually put me out of spec. not sure about how it affects the RL though, I have a 2nd Gen TL-s. Now, no issues at all with tire wear. In fact, adding the rear Ingalls camber kit actually made a big enough difference to keep the fronts within spec w/o a camber kit

Got my RL aligned on Saturday - 1 week after installing H & R Sport Springs on otherwise stock suspension.
Specs from AFTER alignment
Front caster range is 1.7 to 2.7 degrees - Mine is 3.3 degrees.
Front camber ranger is -0.6 to 0.4 - Mine is -0.8R / -0.6L
Rear camber range is -1.8 to -0.8 - Mine is -2.4R / -2.2L
Everything else is within factory specs.
Only one likely to have any tire wear effect is rear camber. She's riding a little heavy on the inside of the tires. Should make it handle nicely though.

My first set of tires made it 30k miles (9 months if you're me) with the H&R springs installed. They were Kumho Ecsta SPT's.
The wear WAS focused on the inside edge of the tires, but I had them rotated at every oil change (once every 1.5 months) and kept a very close eye on them towards the end.
Hope that helps!

I would suggest the factory A-spec suspension upgrade because they seem to have all of the bugs worked out and handling is improved significantly. Ride quality is solid. My Acura dealer is very good at installing these modifications, and it gives you some recourse if things are not quite right with the install. I have had it installed on my 2006 RL and have been running the A-Spec 18" rims with Michelin Pilots, and solidly getting 25,000 miles per set driving on a concrete highway everyday. PS. Make sure you fill tires with pure Nitrogen, is smooths out the ride...

Agree with the you guys about nitrogen.
The A-Spec's ride IS smooth, though. That's part of the magic of it. Handling is crisper, especially with good rubber, yet you keep the luxo ride, albeit with fewer dips. Not a single day goes by when I question this purchase.
