If you try to operate the RL without TPMS sensors in your new wheels, you will be berated with warning lights constantly. The sensors can be purchased for $150 (installed) or less, so it is worth including them on your new rims. It is much more difficult to try to defeat the TPMS warnings than it is to just install the sensors. Be sure to post some pics of your RL with the 20's.

Sorry, that is true. I bought new ones because I'm mounting snow tires on my 17's. I'm guessing that Pennsylvania gets enough of a winter that it may be worthwhile for Marc S. to keep his 17's for winter use (with or without dedicated snow tires), in which case he should buy new TPMS sensors.

If you dont get much snow (I dont really get much here) then they may be ok or if you do get a fair amount of snow and it gets cleaned up quickly then you may be ok.
I may go this winter again with these crap tires but may get some snows and use the stock rims and next spring get an 18" wheel/tire package.

"Revolution....couldn't fit the tire pressure gauges back on. Apparently all other gauges that they'bve seen are horizontal but the ones on the RL are horizontal."
Assuming you've seen the sensors, could you comment on this?

Do the sensors need to be calibrated for the different pressure range for the lower profile tires? I would guess that 20s would be higher pressure than 17s, but since I have only had the stock tires on my RL I don't know if this is an issue or not.
