Does anyone know if the 2011 - 2012 18" RL wheels will fit on the 2006?

It doesn't look like the bolt pattern has changed, but i just wanted to be sure before i pull the trigger.

You should ask if the ones you're looking at have the Helmholtz resonators still attached to them. That would be a nice little bonus.

 

Do it! The stock 05-08 RL wheels are ugly as hell

 

They're not as ugly as the 09-10 wheels IMO. The 11-12 wheels are definitely the best of the bunch though.

 

i was thinking the same about getting the 2011-2012, they look amazing. but for the retail price tag i could get a better set of wheels. plus i can wait til some one on craigslist posts them.

 

How much are you paying for the 2011 wheels? I a few months away from needing new tires for my O5 and was thinking about a wheel upgrade too.

 

They usually go on eBay for about $1k for the set in new condition.

I don't know. I've been waiting for one to come into the shop so I can check them out.

 

They are built into the hub of the wheel. Like a cut out in the alloy IIUC.

Anybody have pics of 3g RL rims on 2g RL?

 

i'm actually very surprised i've never seen a kb1 with kb2 wheels (either 09-10 or 11-12 wheels).

i personnally prefer 09-10 wheels, but both are a great upgrade from the kb1's 17".

in the parts catalog, the Hemholtz resonators are not available separatly nor shown in the image. They are probably included inside the wheels when fabricating them (casting process).

i thought someone would one day post pictures of KB2 wheels on a KB1.....but it looks like for now, we're looking at photoshop requests instead.
