- Locking nut is tight
- Coilover is dry as can be ( )
- No balljoint play
- Outer tie rod has some movement (replaced last year )
- Inner tie rod boot is greased up
Assuming the clunk is the tie rod & more than likely need a new rack…
Well that blows. Is the outer tie rod an OEM one, I'm surprised it only lasted a year?
Well got the car checked out & the suspension passes the test, except there's "slight" play in the passenger lower balljoint (replaced last year with OEM )...
Tech gave me his professional opinion & says it most likely the strut but can't confirm without taking it all apart..
Contacted D2 and it's $130 US for a replacement strut which isn't bad but still a piss off considering they're just over a year old..
it's winter, it's in tank mode, you don't need to no herrafrush during the wintertime to fling fkng rocks and salt and snow all up in your fenders!
I agree
Pics of your hella sunk movement? lol
Also I have a question about the axle thing. Ive replaced my pass side axle on the TL, but the drivers side is still the OG unit then I lowered the car with coils and I'm getting a little wobble at around 30km/hr. Ive read that its most likely the older axle is tired and the geometry/angle of the old axle is being thrown off from lowering. Did you experience this and did you experience the car wanting to sort of dive to the side with the newer axle?

With the winters on I still feel a slight wobble which is most likely the driver axle but at the same time the winters might need to be rebalanced & the car needs an alignment as well so who really know…
Yours has some downtime at least. No rest over here in the near future unless I put the ol' first gen CL back on the road but that has it's own list as well

Jega, yes, Sir. Still around! lol Once I get my current project up and running, I am hoping we can set up some more local meets and maybe even another CanAm Cruise event.

I see you have stepped WAY up from the Accord.
The TSX looks awesome, nicely done.
Allan, glad you were able to find the windshield trim.
Finally got around to install the J37 IM/TB (09' RL) that I've had waiting to go on. It's literally bolt on and go. The only difference between the manifolds is that the J37 doesn't have the IAT sensor in the manifold so I just ziptied it to the engine harness till I get around to relocating it.
Here's some pics, the J37 TB is HUGE..

While I was in there I also took the intake resonator out and dropped in a much needed K&N filter
It's been a few days for the ecu to adjust & the car moves with much less effort. I do a lot of city driving so that's a plus but the car REALLY comes to life at highway speeds, too much fun.
