You're looking at it all wrong. What would you do if you finished your list? Aspirations drive motivation and give us purpose.

That's the "badge less" look I was going for so good to know it was a success

When I painted the grille I contemplated leaving it chrome but the black out got the best of me.

Don't get me wrong, I love the list, mods wise but the list also has maintenance items which obviously take priority over anything else. I wish the list was only mods, I'd make sure it never ended

I pulled the CL out on Saturday It handled the icy side streets pretty well today though. I thought I was going to snow plow my street.

I had a nice run in with a 3rd gen TL-S on Saturday. Wish I didn't have to make my turn.

- Yea just remove it
- Wheels are staggered, 19 x 9 F/19 x 10 R

As for tire sizes, I've read the same about the SH-AWD but I couldn't have made these work running the same size all around without a serious stretch & I'm not about that hardcore stretch life. I've also never heard of a failure due to running a staggered setup

I've heard of tread depth affecting AWD but not tire size. A friend had a un-repairable puncture in his Subaru and had to buy 4 new tires as the difference in tread depth was going to be beyond the allowable threshold.

Thanks boys..

Did an oil change the other day to find this shit show..

Grease anyone?

I was planning on swapping in fresh axles to battle some vibrations I'm having so it's a convenient time to catch that.

Called Acura & I'm looking at $900 CDN a side ..I can get aftermarket ones for $180 local but was really hoping to go OEM

Here's were it gets interesting.. Browsing Ebay to see what's out there & noticed that there's 2-3 sellers (with 98%+ feedback) selling axles for the RL that also fit the 09-12' 3.5 TL. So I'm intrigued and call Acura & the TL axles are $400 cheaper than the ones for the RL. I checked the online Acura parts store & I can get the TL axles for $130ish US which is just under $200 CDN, no complaints here lol.

I haven't pulled the trigger yet since there's no real way to confirm this without actually biting the bullet but I thought I'd share and see what you guys think. I did check the part numbers for both cars and they are different but I'm intrigued to say the least..

Yea they're $500ish US plus shipping would end up being pretty damn close to $900 CDN. I can drop the money but really don't want to..

Yeah....I had to search around on a few US OEM parts sites to see who had the best prices.....some price match, but it really wasn't a huge difference in pricing between various sites.

Some parts were cheaper, others weren't, so it all pretty much balanced out anyway.

Maybe the TL ones will be an option.

Hope that works out.

Dude, if I still had the other ones out of the car, I would have been glad to give you some measurements.
Maybe Marty at raxles would work with you on finding out if they fit...it would help his business too since he could now KNOW that the part works for more than just the TL and he won't have to turn people with RL's away!

Any info would be great to really see what cars are a potential match. My only lead so far is the 4g 3.5 TL via this ad..

A little info on what the codes mean:
Thought this would make an interesting thread topic

In this post, I'll explain in detail how Acura and Honda part numbers work. We'll use the following part number to illustrate:

60100-S0K-A90ZZ

This is the part number for a hood for a 1999-2001 TL. Now, let's see what the numbers mean:

60100 - This prefix number means that the part number is a hood. Therefore, every hood for every Honda and Acura vehicle carries this prefix as the part number. For example, 60100-S3V-A90ZZ would be a hood for an MDX, 60100-ST7-A91ZZ would fit an Integra.

Here's a few more prefix examples:

08P00- mudguards
08R01 - moonroof visor
33501 - right taillamp
04715 - rear bumper cover

S0K - This tells what kind of car it fits, or the first car it fit when originally created, in the case of parts that fit multiple cars. This is the model code for TL, 1999-2003.

Some others:

SP0- Legend 4 door, 1991-1995
S6M - RSX
ST8 - Integra 4 door, 1994-up
SL0 - NSX

A90ZZ - this suffix tells detail about the part itself.

"A" means that the part is for the North American market. Japan spec parts would carry a "J".

The "90" or "01" can refer to a manufacturer code, or model year. A hood for a 99-01 TL is 60100-S0K-A90ZZ, one for an 02-03 would be 60100-S0K-A91ZZ.

The "ZZ", which some parts don't have, refers to the fact that the part is unpainted. Painted parts have codes like "ZA" or "ZC", or other letter combinations.
If this is accurate, it is not a reused part, but that doesn't mean it won't fit. Could be a minor change.

I would contact one of our vendors that runs a parts department and ask them if they will compare for you. Not sure if that's Tim at Acura of Peoria or one of the guys at Del Ray Acura, but I bet someone would.

Yea I've read over that multiple times.

Very similar with the exception that the TL part has an "A" since it was made for the North American market.

I'll reach out to continue the investigation

Made the executive decision and ordered the OEM TL axle, came out to $206 CAD shipped which isn't too shabby at all.

Parts guys couldn't help since they can't do much without the actual parts in stock..

Was browsing a CDN parts site that also showed the same part numbers for both the TL and RL axles, so I made the call.

Hope for the best..
