Those wheels look good! Good choice.

I didn't think the wheel wells would be that exposed with 20's, though.

+2 on lowering, STAT!

Thank you
They are TSW Petrol I like it because the lip and the silver spokes blend with the car.

Are you sure putting two different tire sizes on an awd vehcile like the RL is safe? I mean, at certain points, all wheels need to travel at the same speed, but there will be a resistance if they are differenc eby a little even. Looks good too tho. WHat are the offsets of the wheels front and rear?

Those look sweet! How is the ride on the 20's? You'll love the 5-Zigen upgrade and with it lowered that is going to look WILD!

Hmm I'm not sure but so far it drives ok.
The offset are 35mm front and rear.

Thank you..... hmm not bad since I get used to it. My previous TL got same 20's so no different, just have to watch out for those pot holes...
Yeah the 5 Zigen really look sweet I dont know about the sound though?
Hmm need to roll my rear fender before lowered.

Just curious, are they any of you guys installed the mugen lip for the RL?
I want those instead the A-Spec kit.

Touge has the Mugen lip on his RL. Check out his thread.

The sound on the 5Zigen is awesome if you want deep throaty when you punch or drop down. If you're looking for more of the "rice rocket" whine, then this exhaust isn't for you. Probably better choices.

Sick ride man indeed!

I don't think Borla makes an exhaust for the RL. If you want deep/throaty sound the 5Zigen does not disappoint!

The available KB1 exhausts are 5zigen and Mugen, unless you want to do your own with Magnaflow or something similar.

Hey Bob,
anyone tried those?magnaflow?I got quote for magnaflow for $ 450.00 in one of custom exhaust shop.
But they gonna use same tip so no look change only the sound.
I'm kinda scare to do this, since dont know the quality, I heard I can buy borla and do custom cat back.
So how about 5zigen are those cat back or just the muffler?
Thanks.

To my knowledge, no one has tried a custom Borla setup, so if you go that route, you'd be the first. UW RL has stated interest in a Magnaflow system but hasn't had it installed yet. You may want to PM him to see where he's at in the process. $450 sounds pretty good....does that include install?

The 5zigen costs $900 and is a bolt-on cat-back (pipes and muffler)--go to Jaysmith2000's thread in the photo gallery to see what it looks like. The Mugen costs $1800 and is also a cat-back.

Wow Stephan the daytime pics look great, the wheel gap is less pronounced

Tanabe just came out with a exhaust also for the RL also. I'll go post some pics in the general section. Mugen, 5zigen, tanabe and amuse are all cat-back exhausts. However out of those 4, the 5zigen is the easiest to get our hands on and has the best price. Pm me if you need more info on it.

The exhausts mentioned above replace everything from the factory exhaust after the 3rd cat. Also the 5zigen is JASMA certified which means it complies with the Japan noise law, so it's deep, but yet quiet. Another advantage to a cat-back vs custom is that the cat-back use mandrel bends for better flow and the materials are usually better (eg piping is all stainless steel or titanium (in the case of the amuse).

You must live somewhere where they take care of the roads. One trip through pothole-ridden Philadelphia, and those wheels would be expensive landfill fodder....

Yes $ 450.00 all together they said put magnaflow.
I told them I want it sounds like the 350 Z. Again I'm still think about it
I'm kinda interested in these model Wail Tail parts number 40061.
Hopefully sounds good.

Heh. When I was in college, I lost a wheel and tire on 12th and Callowhill streets in Philly -- during the summer, just after a rain, when the pothole was un-seeable. This might not surprise anyone, except that the the wheel was steel, and the tire was a 26" tire on a 1980 Jeep Grand Cherokee Wagoneer.

Philly's streets pwn you.
