Another quick update. J37 intake manifold and throttle body installed (kind of). Didn't think ahead and get a proper coupler so that arrives tomorrow so I can complete it. In the meantime, I borrowed a coupler just to fire up the car and check for leaks. So far so good, no idle issues (knock on wood) and it is a bit more responsive than before. My setup was port and polished by the previous owner although it doesn't seem like it was the best job lol.

Centric rotors arrived and waiting for the brake pads to come before I do the calipers.

Here are some pics of it while I was working.

I'm out and about all the time. I-5 mostly, but sometimes 405.

Brakes are done. Fluid bled. Waiting til evening to bed them in when there is less traffic. Ran into the usual stuck retaining screws, but other than that, it was straight forward. Mugen spoiler was installed earlier in the week!
  • Overhauled JDM Legend calipers
  • Centric Premium Front/Rear Rotors
  • Project Mu Bestop pads F/R
  • Honda DOT3 fluid

Update: I need to remove the rear calipers and paint them. The caliper bracket is starting to rust because I didn't treat it prior. Brakes are progressively getting better with good initial bite, however I've noticed that the first 20-25% of pedal pressure applied is still spongy and brakes don't grab until past that point. I've bled about 5-6 times now with no bubbles at all. Trying to figure out how to get it to feel better, but for now it's drive-able.

Painted the rear calipers and everything is relatively good now. Need to rebed the pads though.

Wow! Stunning! if you ever wanted to sell your lip kit, I'd be interested for sure! How's the ride on the Tein, as comfortable as stock?

I would say it's close to stock. This kit is probably staying for a while. I do have a spare Mugen rear lip and trunk spoiler though.

LOL...
it just seemed like you were trolling, if you're not...no worries!
either way, I would encourage you to start a thread of your own build though so OP doesn't feel violated.

all good i am pretty sure the builder in the post has helped me with mine. thats why i did not think it would be a huge deal. i am here to support all builders and give away any knowledge i get along the way.
so if it is needed or if anyone can tell me how i will delete my post from here

Hey! Glad you're doing a build a documenting it. Although I don't care that much about you posting pictures, I do prefer you start your own so that this thread is consistent with updates about my car alone. Thanks and good luck!
