Do any of you have problems with the chrome peeling on your A-spec wheels? Is it covered under warranty? My car just made 2 years in September and the rims were installed at the time of delivery.

Holy thread revival! I missed it the first time around....

My A-Spec wheels have been through three winters now and they have not peeled at all. I just wash them with soap and water. I'm not sure of warranty coverage here but it can't hurt to ask.

O.... I intend to.... trust me.... this coming weekend.... I just can't decide the shade..... 20% or 35%..... I had the same dilima with my TL..... of course I picked the wrong one and have to re-tint into 20%..... here is the question.... should I go dark on the RL? or just get 35% cuz we already of the auto shade in the back and manual shade on the backdoors.....

and Thanx for the kind words my friends

I ended up doing 20% on the rear and 35% on the sides. However, I sometimes think I'll end up re-doing the sides to 20% because it seems to light at certain times of the day/certain angles. But the 35% CAN look dark, too. I think having my rear window be 20% makes the sides appear darker, so I guess I'm glad I did the back darker..

I don't know about those window shade things.. When I didn't have any tint at all it looks bad, like I'm some father driving around or something... And although I haven't used the window shades much since the tint job, I guess it COULD help a little, in making the rear sides and back window look darker. :shrugs: Guess I'll start using them and see how I like it lol....

Come spring/summer here in New England, I have a feeling I'm gonna want to change to 20% all around though...

I asked and got ALL four rims replaced free of charge! I've always gotten great service from Acura here in Hawaii which is why this is my fourth Acura. No pics of the replaced rims but here's my A-spec kit picture I took back in December.
