Drifting
I now have a new favorite tire shop, www.discounttiredirect.com.
I bought 4 sets of tires from them, and they price match. The shipping is quick.
What I really like about them is the fact they offer a lifetime warranty on tires (ex $200 tire nets a $25 fee). They generally offer 4 warranted tires for the price of 3 at purchase.
Of course nobody wants to pay extra and I declined each time. Then my cousin busted a tire from the set I got him within the first 30 days so they allowed me to buy warranty for 4 tires (paying for 4 warranties) and gave me a free tire! The warranty cost was less than half the tire cost and now all the tires are warranted...priceless.
Now for my own tires, as the photos above show, I destroyed one (puncture in the sidewall) and I got a bubble on one from another incident which I do not recall (or someone else did it). Either way, I called em up because Continental has a hazard warranty of 2/32'nds or 1 year from purchase. They said they will honor that warranty but I have to send the tires in as they have to return them to manufacturer. I said that shipping tires to Ohio wasn't really my favorite option. The guy offered to sell me 6 warranties and ship me out 2 tires free of charge.
So the math is, each one of my Continental DW summer tires goes for $202 free shipping. 6 warranties cost me $140. So now I get $400 worth of tires and a lifetime coverage for the one's I already got.
I think that's a pretty sweet deal and now I just gotta wait a local Continental dealer to get 2 more tires
once again that's www.discounttiredirect.com, the place where I buy my tires ;-)

2 days until this car has a new owner, it's been fun.

the new owner is on AZ so hopefully this car only gets better with age.
almost 26,000 views in this thread...it's been educational.

I cannot even begin to describe how much I love it. 037 really did a bang up job with the mods on this car. It embarrasses every other Acura I test drove. Tearing around the city last night to get those photos was absolutely terrifying for someone who's not used to driving in the city, but this car put everyone else on the road in their place... Even with me being teased by him for how conservatively I was driving it.

for Times Sq I'm gonna post up a video. I guess driving these streets daily I forgot what the rest of the country is like, at least we didn't put any new scratches on the car

Glad to hear you're liking that RL that 037 babied. Stick around here and post pictures. You're one of the few on here with a 2009+ RL.

Hate to see it go
Looks like you picked up a Genesis? Or is that an Eqqus? Hard to tell from that avatar picture.

It is a Genesis, correct. Went with a 3.8 as patience ran out waiting for the 5.0. Test drove a 5.0 and the suspension did feel kinda crappy even though 60-90mph was done in reckless time.
with the 3.8 I'm blowing away V8's anyway such as Lexus LS460, Chrysler 300C.
just now passed an 08 Maxima as if it was standing still, look down, 110
someone needs to lock this thread...I'm totally off topic.

P.S. in a car rated 19/29 I am still managing to average 13mpg on summer tires
On original Michelin Energy Saver A/S my record was 31mpg doing 60-70 on highway.

Another RL in Austin huh? Be safe getting her here. Look out for the other guy. You going through the Appalachians or Tennessee? I vote for the prior just for the photo ops.

yeah, I read up on his posts but I figured maybe the car was spied somewhere, it's not a common sighting so those who saw and knew would remember. Thx anywayz!

Depends on where he lives. You know how easy it is to lose rare sites in large cities. No other RL members are from Austin if that's where he even lives anymore. Could've sold it too.
