Talking Verizon Treo 700WX

good news for Verizon Treo owners...you can now download windows mobile 6.1 (replacing windows mobile 5) It is supposed to cure a lot of the phone issues...It noticably helps the Bluetooth logic and info. It also gives the MID battery & signal strength.

the update just came out today. I loaded it and it has run perfectly. I will need time to evaluate and I will report back within a week as to how well it does. I fully use the features of this phone and when you overload it, it can lock up or act goofy....time will tell.

agree on phone issues. I actually have 700w (pre-wx). Like the features, but have to reboot virtually everyday. Interested to hear your report. I'm assuming the install time is fairly significant based on past ROM updates.

sad but this upgrade doesn't apply to the 700W.

I too owned the 700W, but then I got a good deal on an almost new wx so I bought it. When I owned the 700w I had to dump the battery at least once a day. With the WX, I will go 3 or 4 days without resetting....now when I do reset, it takes several resets to get it right again.

With Windows mobile 6.1 I hope to be cruising with my battery still in the phone.
