T-Mobile G1 Phone & '05 RL Bluetooth Compatibility

Hi there,

I've lurked on the forum for about 2 months and now I'm ready to make a post.

I have an '05 RL and I'm considering the T-Mobile G1 phone to use with my Bluetooth. Is anyone using this phone and how is it working for you?

Thanks for your help!

Happy Mother's Day to all Moms in the Community!!!!

According to Acura's HFL wesbite (http://www.acura.com/handsfreelink.aspx) the G1 (HTC Dream) is compatible with most features.

Just to be sure, before purchasing one. Go to a T-Mobile store, have a representative get a G1 that they have as test model and connect it to your RL. Then you test every feature and make sure it works. I don't think the store would mind, I did the same thing at the Sprint store before I bought my phone.

My mother has both and she doesn't have any problems, just make sure you have a car charger handy, her phone dies pretty fast when its paired to the car. The only thing is the phone does not report the battery info or signal strength on the mini screen and she has a small issue syncing her phone book to the car. But making calls and receiving works fine.

Supposedly they are working on a few updates to address issues on the phone and that might be one of em. If possible i would suggest using a windows mobile based phone instead.
