Still can't figure out how to raise these headlights?

I have read several posts on this. I removed all the plastic stuff that's in the way and found the slot where you insert the screwdriver, for both lights and on both sides. Inside the hole there seems to be what looks like a plastic gear or something. I think I am able to turn it but either I have the wrong tool (I have tried 4 different types of Philips, torx, straight and so on) or it's the wrong fricking hole because nothing happens. I am and . Does anyone have a pic or something and more importantly what type of tool they used to turn it and in what direction? Mine turns about a 1/4 turn max and I am afraid to break something, it looks all plastic in there.

Are you trying to raise the low beams? I agree they need to come up a bit from stock. The sharp cutoff of the HID's make them less useful than my wife's halogens on her Pilot. Never got the big deal with HID's. They do look cool, but just add cost and complexity to something that didn't need to be fixed.

You just need a LONG #2 Philips screwdriver. I have one that is perfect for the job. I have adjusted both my lights up a bit and the light is so much better now. It takes quite a few turns for it to move just a little, so be patient.

Now, if someone can figure out how to adjust LEFT/RIGHT, I'd appreciate some help. I can't for the life of me figure out how to do that. The adjustment locations look like they are covered up by something so I can't poke my screwdriver in those holes like I can for up/down.

Do not do horizontal adjustments to your headlights you will throw off the AFS system. I've had the RL's headlights torn apart several times. 3 full rotational turns to raise the headlights is the max i found to raise the headlights

A good guide to go off of is park your car on a LEVEL surface 30ft from a wall, and i really mean this check the level of the surface. no point on doing it with a up/down hill

next take a tape measure and measure at the front of the bumper with the low beams on and check the height of the light by seeing where the solid light line is.

Then go to the wall and measure 1 1/2 inches less than what you measured that the headlights. this will give you the best performance with your lights

Thanks guys. Yes, I am trying to adjust to up/down versus side to side. I need to take a picture to make sure I am in the right hole (that just sounds bad or I have a dirty mind, sorry). I have tried a #1 and #2 philips. Megatron, is it CW or CCW for moving them up? Thx.

It's labeled on the plastic next to the hole. It shows a curved arrow with u one way and d the other way. U is up and d is down. I can go look at my car and tell you if you want, but I can't remember off top of my head.

Also, by the same logic though there's a L and R (which would mean I could adjust side to side) which is a road to nowhere. It's just a hole in the plastic with no visible adjustment mechanism. Anyway, just wanted to double check, will try again. Thank you.

Blame that on "mass production", Henry Ford is at fault.
