Startup on Navigation screen
I have a 2005 RL, and every time I start the car, I get the disclaimer on the screen and have to click ok...also I just bought a new Blackberry curve, so now I also get the screen for setting up the Acura Link, which I've tried a dozen times, and it won't take. So, is there anyway that either one or both of these screens will not be display upon start up, it sure would be nice.
Thanks, Carl

It sounds like you are trying to set up Acura Link?

Carl,
Are you referring to setting up a DataLink (data connection) with your Blackberry? I assume this occurs after you had paired the Blackberry to the HFL for phone use?
I believe Blackberry Curve does not have a data modem and therefore is not compatible for DataLink. I know that is the case with the ATT Blackberry Curve.

Acura startup
Thank you both for the responses. My Blackberry is paired and works perfectly. It is the AcuraLink screen that comes on, asking me if I want to set it up now or later. If I hit now, it doesn't connect, and again, I've tried dozens of times, so I simply hit "set up later", and the screen goes away. The 2nd screen is the disclaimer, and does that have to come on every time I start the car, or is there a way I can toggle that off? If I hit OK on the disclaimer screen that goes away too, it's just that I would like to start the car, and not have to deal with the 2 screens. Call me lazy, but if you're in and out of the car several times it does get annoying.
Thanks again, Carl

My Blackberry did the same. It quit after about a week. Don't know if it was based on the number of times i canceled or a fixed period of time. I had to swap the phone and re-paired and that time I didn't say try now instead hit cancel the first time and it didn't ask again so don't know if it's dependent on the first "try now" instead of cancel. You can try re-pairing it and hitting cancel or letting it go away on it's own I guess it depends on how long it's been doing it already.

Thanks, but I already tried re-pairing...same results. Someone suggested I take it to the dealer, and they have a way of turning it off. I think I'll try that next.
