Software enhancements please

Why doesn't Acura listen to clients complaints and allow for a software upgrade when you go for an oil change or service? Some of the upgrades I would like to include are include:
1 - Stop that stupid chime every time you open the door when the lights are on.
2 - Allow for any display on the MID while using the cruise control.
3 - Have the MID display the last displayed item upon every start-up.
4 - Display some diagnostic status at the command of the driver.
5 - Display Volts and Oil Pressure as virtual guages.
6 - Display a clock on the screen.

I'm sure that there are numerous suggestions, what else would people like to be changed that would be very cheap and easy for Acura to implement that would greatly enhance the car?

Pausing the CD player when using the HFL. The TL does this, why can't the RL?

I, for one, prefer the disc continuing to play while I am on a call. In fact, once someone's called me, I'm usually into beginning a new track, rather than jumping back to where I was interrupted. (If I were listing to an opera or some narrative form, that might not apply.) But since I can always pause the CD by hitting the appropriate button, the RL gives me either option (pause the CD or allow it to finish while I'm talking).

I'd like it if the sun shade in the rear would go back up on it's own when I take the car back out of reverse.

I would like the option of selecting if I wish to have the side mirrors dip in reverse. I prefer to leave the switch in left control because I use it to manually dip at night but I do not wish the mirror to dip in reverse. A Chevy Tahoe has this option selectable.
When you exit the car I would like for the seat to back up a couple of inches.
The steering wheel moves up and in, I think it would leave better accessability it it just moved up.

I wish someone would look at the competition and take all of the good ideas and put them in one car.

I'd be satisfied with getting rid of that chime, but the other annoying one for me is the Range. It is way too conservative. When my low fuel warning comes on, range shows <20 miles. The Range needs to be accurate.

[QUOTEThe Range needs to be accurate.[/QUOTE]

What is the accurate reading? Has anyone determined what the actural range is when the warning comes on?

The mirrors do not tip down in reverse if the switch is left in the center position.

As previously mentioned - I prefer to leave the switch in the left position so that I may quickly adjust the mirror but I do not want it to dip in reverse. This option should be software selectable.

Regarding Range - If I fill-up exactly when low fuel warning comes on, it takes about 16 gallons, thus 3.5 gallons left. Range shows <20 miles at this point, so at average of 20 mpg, Range should be 60+ miles.

Along with everything stated in this post, I'd also like to see Driver1/2 CD memory. I have my mp3 cd that I like listening to, and my wife has her own. Everytime I get into the car, it's her CD playing

I'd like the convenience of programming a route on my computer and then uploading the route to the RL's database.

That would be pretty cool in planning a roadtrip.

The computer doesn't think too much of my routing decisions when it comes to the dinky back country roads I normally like to take as shortcuts! "Do a u-turn, if possible...uhhh do a u-turn now if possible...HEY you DOPE! DO a u-turn NOW! Oh, OK, now you're in unverified territory...you'll be sorry, and I told you so!"

Also, the computer's road speed defaults need to be programmable...they are much too slow...the computer accurately calculates remaining mileage, but estimated times are way too long. I don't remember any menu settings for this.

I would prefer that the CD player pause when a call comes in rather than continuing while I can't hear it...often I miss several songs.

The reminder to put your seat beat on gets really old after the first time. Sometime I just take it off in a parking garage or residential neignborhood and the reminders are annoying.
