Replacement FOG Light Help?

Hello lads I wanted to upgrade my current fog light on the RL to Yellow or brighter white to match the Headlight. Can any one point me in the right direction for the Yellow Fogs? or replacements bulbs. I currently live in an area that has allot of fog at night and early morning when i commute so i was thinking the yellow might be better for this. Please correct me if i am wrong.

Thanks.

Simplest swap (plug and play) would be PIAA Yellow H11.

Amazon.com: PIAA 13511 H11 12-Volt Plasma Ion Crystal Yellow 55=100-Watt Bulb - Twin Pack: Automotive Amazon.com: PIAA 13511 H11 12-Volt Plasma Ion Crystal Yellow 55=100-Watt Bulb - Twin Pack: Automotive

Would these be brighter than my current "FOGS" and will i have any electrical or heating issues "melting" the housing with this?

Thanks.

They should be brighter as OEM bulbs are crap. I also would not expect melting issues, but since I have never owned them (just heard good things), I can't say with certainty. A few members have run them here and I couldn't find a reported issue.

No melting issues here, I am getting ready to upgrade to yellow HIDs in the spring.

Are the yellow HIDS different from the PIAA bulbs mentioned above? Is there any examples of those?

indeed, one is a bulb replacement and one is an HID bulb with a ballast.

HID's are considerably more expensive and more work. A quality setup will run you at least $150 and won't really provide any better light quality since the housing is designed for a halogen bulb. Throwing and HID in there with no projector retrofit will just scatter the light.

Stick to the halogen H11s.

The halogen H-11's are a simple swap and the yellows will make you more visible to others in heavy fog. They don't really give you much better vision of the road, because our headlights are both "on" and much brighter.
