when i didnt have my Aftermarket sub in the car i noticed i only could take the volume up to about 28-30 before it got too loud.

But lately i see that the volume level has been hitting 35-38 compared to where it use to be at the 28-30 level.

I thought it was just me or the sub. so i disconnected the Aftermarket sub setup and its still the same. I also had the GF In the car she noticed that its not as loud as it use to be.

Has anyone else noticed this with there RL? i looked through all the menu options ect and nothing has changed.

Are there any other differences such as the source? DVD-A discs play louder in my car than CDs which play louder than my iPhone. That said, I don't believe any sources show that dramatic of a difference.

 

if you were listening at 28-30 and now have to set at 35-38, I think there will be a trend and in a few months you will need to set at 40+
Then, after that perhaps a hearing aide

 

damn, that's loud. i'm at 13-14 and that's already too much.

 

I can barely go to 22 with the windows down going 80...

 

im partially deaf in my left ear due to several issues in my childhood. i work with alot of air tools at work but i wear hearing protection. im thinking it might be the ipod source i went through the Ipod EQ and played with some of the EQ settings in there. Acoustic seems to have the best settings for my taste of music.

Which totally makes sense since i just got a bunch of new songs from Itunes and did the update and it sent to back to the NO EQ setting
