I was wondering if anyone has had the following problem with their voice recognition.

About once a week the voice recognition will not be picked up by the system. No commands are picked up either for the navigation, climate controls or radio. The Handsfree Link always works fine though. If I turn the car off and then back on, the voice recognition works perfectly. It is more of an annoyance than anything else as all I have to do is turn the car off and on and it works fine again. Of course, it never seems to do this when the service tech has the car and Acura has not seen similar issues. I suspect there is a problem with whatever box processes the voice commands as it is not specific to any one component, such as the radio, climate control, etc.

I must say that the dealer has been great to work with on this. I brought the car in for routine service and asked them to take a look at it and they told me to leave the car with them for a few days and they would keep trying to duplicate the problems I was having. So I have a new TL as a loaner for a few days, not a bad car, but definitely happy I have the RL.

 

I have occasionally had a problem where the voice command is simply not taken ... pressed the button on the steering wheel, got the beep, gave my voice command and nothing, but this has normally been a single occurence where the second time I pressed the button it worked fine.

When you have exerienced your problem, after pressing the button did the car "beep" at you or did it not react at all?
