OMG!!!!!!!! WTF My HFLINK system is frozen???????

Ok so I was on the phone in my car (bbry Bold) using it with no problem then after the call was over the HF Link stayed on the radio screen but went away on the dash board. Now I can't listen to music unless I press and hold the back button on the staring wheel. This is very annoying. I've disconnected the bluetooth from the car and phone and reconnected it. Made a couple calls and ended them to see if it would go away. I've turned the car off and back on and its still there. I've turned it off and walked away for 10 minutes and come back and its still there. If you hold the back button on the staring wheel long enough the HF link system runs a test. But it kept coming back saying the hf system was ok. What do I do now? This is pissing me off. I don't know what else to do. I can't listen to music or anything.

Try disconnecting the battery and letting it sit for several minutes then reconnecting. Just make sure you have the radio and nav codes handy before doing this.

+1 it is like your computer at home, sometimes you need to reboot it, to fix it. Good luck !

Ok so after trying everything possible and basically giving up while driving around looking for someplace to get food with my girl the HF link finally disappeared on its own with out me pushing a button. This isnt the first time i've had an issue with the HF system. It seems to freeze up alot. This is the first time it froze up so long. I hope it was a 1 time thing.

I had similar weird shit with my 2005 RL (never had HFL issues with my 2004 TL).

Generally speaking they went away after a while.

Some have had the control unit replaced.

any issues I have had with HFL have always been fixed with a phone reboot! (not a car reboot)

Phone reboot first, then car reboot.
