has anyone out there ever been able to send info to the acura server...my rl yesterday gave me emission error 0174 when i tried to get "more info" it tried to connect to acura server ...unsuccessfully numerous times...for the record.. i use a cingular /erickson t637 and have been able to set it up in acuralink submenu....always thought it was able to connect to acura server now acura customer care tells me "not supported yet" bring it to the dealer...another waste of my time ...

 

When I had my RL I was able to connect using my e815 (verizon). I don't know what that error means. How about deleting the phone from the HFL system and then try pairing it again.

 

Your phone needs to be configured for dialing the service. I know I can't do it since the treo 650 doesn't have dial-up.

 

For Cingular, I first unpaired my phone, because it didn't work. Then when running the setup, I chose Easy Setup - Cingular/Internet Explorer.

Then before connecting goto the Custom Setup screen and change the connection string from isp.cingular to wap.cingular. Leave everything else the same. Then try connecting.

I have a Motorola V551 and making that change worked.

Somebody on the Acurazine forum noted that change in the string. Forgot the poster, but it worked !

 

What are the connection settings for Verizon?
