Music Link

Well, this weekend my Music Link stop working. I can't even get the head unit to cyle through to CDC when I push the DISC button. I suppose it could hav come undoen from behind the player but I don't know how. I guess I'll call my dealer to see what my options will be since the Music Link has been discontinued. Anyone else experirnece this problem? What other options do I have (vendors) if I want to keep my XM active?

Try pulling the fuse on your stereo & reentering your codes. It is in the driver's footwell. My Dice unit needs to be reset like that once a month.

The rest of the HU functions work - just not the CDC/Music Link. Would resetting be required if only the CDC does not work? If I do reset then codes for radio & Nav need to be entered?

The radio & 6 disc on mine work fine, just not the ipod adaptor & xm wont work, but pulling the fuse resets everything. It will propmt you to put the nav code in with the wheel & radio code is put in with preset buttons.

there will be a number wheel on the nav screen & you use the big nob to select the numbers.

Even if the cable was bad shouldn't I be bale to toggle to the CDC via the disc button? Currently when I push the DISC button I only get CD choice, no CDC.

I lucked out - the dealer had another cable in stock and switched it out - all is good now. Hopefully the next time it goes bad the iLink will be available as a replacement. With my 120000 mile warranty I should be golden.
