Maintenance Messages
hey guys. just bought a 2005 RL SH-AWD. it has 102xxx miles. the car is in really good shape and i have a ton of service records. on my way home i was learning how to use the car and their was an envolope in the corner of the nav screen. so i found the messages and there were some that told you about the features of the car, and then there were some that were telling me that a bunch of the systems of the car were not functioning. some of them were pretty old, but some were only a few weeks old. no lights on in the car. everything appears to be working fine. didnt know what i could do to delete the messages from the list. i have read them so there is no more envelope. so is there really anything wrong. no check engine light, or any other light for that matter. the car drives great and everything feels tight.
thanks

delete mess..
Go into info screen then delete what you want but you should have the car checked by Acura service to make sure your RL is OK. It will be worth it. I have 173,000 on my rl and it is rock solid,I do the the upkeep and the car rewards me with a great ride. Enjoy it.

those error mess..
Those message are the ones that tell you something is Wrong or was with this car. there are a way to delete but i want you to get the car look at by acura. then if your car comes up clean then they will delete them. Please bring the RL in to acura service. I go to acura of avon they are good people. these messages are not to be ignored...(they are the non-lights you do not see in the dash) since you just bought this RL. also i hope your timing belt was changed, it coming up soon, for your miles.... hope this help? this car will run if you maintain it.

the timing belt was not changed and that is on my to do list in the next couple thousand miles. i will call acura tomorrow and ask them what they will charge for the 105k mile service and to look into the messages. one of the messages is telling me that the key fob is not working, and it does. i can walk up to the car and it unlocks, and i can touch the handle when i leave the car and it locks as well. i will be interested to see what the dealer says.
