I'm looking to find a higher color temperature fog light bulb too. I tried the Sylvania Silverstar bulb, (not available in the ultra model), but it was still too yellow.

These are the best that I found for license plate lights. Very bright.

The RL lights are oriented along their vertically with respect to their length eg tip pointed down.

I have used these in a Civic where the lights are oriented horizontally with respect to their length, but I have not actually fitted them in an RL to see if they would work.

Yes these fit the RL license plate lights and are very bright, as bright as the OEM bulbs, maybe even brighter.

I have had some quality issues with them, being on my third set, each replaced under warranty. Each set had a different physical design. This last set, which looks like what is pictured, with the metal heat sinks, seems to be solid so far, and based on previous experience, would be exhibiting difficulties in the first 90 days. One set had a spectacular component fault, the circuit board looked as if a small bomb went off. Second set had a small surface mount device break off, and the third set seems to be golden, and that is what you would be getting if you ordered them. VLED stands behind their product so far.

I have these led lights on my RL. My car is white and the bright white lights in the rear looks pretty good. Easy to install.
