Keyless Remote Question
Hello everyone! I just bought a nice 2005 Acura RL and it only came with one keyless remote (Driver 1). My question is . . . what is the best way to get a "Driver 2" remote? The dealer quotes me $300 for the FOB, and then $90 to program. I was hoping I could buy a used one on eBay or something and then have the dealer program for me.
Will this work? Are there any other things to be cautious of when going this route?
Thanks for any help. I hope this isn't a repeat topic. I did the search and didn't see anyone addressing this specific question.

Welcome, congrats on the purchase.
You will find a lot of great info via the search feature.

You can buy a used one from E-Bay or anywhere you can find one, but you will need to pay the dealer to program it. Just make sure you get a Driver 2 remote, since you already have the Driver 1.
The only other thing is that if you truly want a complete replacement Driver 2 remote, you will need to buy a physical key blank that will snap into the remote fob (any old one you get with a used remote you can throw away because it won't open your locks). Then have the dealer cut and program that physical key into the car as well.

Not sure how you searched, but if you click on the forum and look in the top right corner you can focus your search on a specific area rather than the whole board.
None the less I dont mind helping

Yeah, I did indeed do that. However, I tried "key fob" and "keyless remote" and seemed to mostly get people talking about the features like the windows rolling down and that kind of stuff. Oh well, I really appreciate the help!
