Heated seat lighting

Question. I cannot figure this one out. On the heated seat buttons, is the picture of the seat supposed to light up when the lights are on? I know when the heated seats are on, a little orange dot indicates that. It seems the seats should light up, but I don't see any bulbs when I take the console apart. Am I missing something?

The seat, "Hi", and "Lo" should all light up with your shift plate when your lights are on. Do your shifter positions (P, R, N, D, etc.) light up?

007spy is correct... the picture of the seat and the words Hi and Lo should all light up when the lights are on. Each heated seat switch has 3 bulbs in the switch itself.

Two are the orange colored ones to light up Hi or Lo when the heated seats are actually on.

The third bulb is the normal whitish-colored bulb that lights up the picture of the seat and the words Hi and Lo when the lights are on. That one bulb lights up all three things.

You need Item number 6 in the pictures for $6.64.

Hope this helps...

Thank you! I will take a look for that other bulb. My shift letters do light up, but the hi & lo do not. It has been driving me crazy! Thanks a bunch.

Lots of RL dash/switch lights seem to burn out after 3 or so years

Had a few replaced in my dash, under heater switches.

Phishfood, did you replace the heated seat bulb yourself? I need to but an not confident about pulling up on the console plate hard enough to get it off. How do you get access to the bulb? Thanks.

Don't mean to butt in, but I replaced my heated seat light. The bulbs are very small. Its much easier than it seems just take your time. It took me awhile because of the small space to move in plus I have my back up camera remote attached to my console. Its easy though.

Those bulbs are damn too! I bought the 4 seat heater bulbs and 2 shift selector bulbs at the dealership today and they were $60.00! I've never had to replace a dash bulb in any other car than my 3 Acura's and my wife's Honda CRV. Must be a cheap bulb they use, but they charge ton for it!
