I was looking at one from autotoys.com and the instructional video showed it being installed in the trunk where the xm box is I need one like that so I can install it easily without having to remove radio so if you guys know what brands go installed in the trunk?

For us Cannuck's we have to install behind the radio meaning it has to be pulled out. I believe you you are equipped with XM you need to install in the trunk. What exactly are you trying to accomplish?

I'm guessing around a 1/4 bag.

Purchased this unit over the weekend, after connecting it, it wouldn't work over the XM unit so I disconnected the XM unit then it worked fine, but the volume was limited. Not that I need to listen to my music on max but I would like the option of having it higher than what it allows for. After I put everything back together, it no longer works and now I can not open my audio menu, enter my address book, choose go home or have the nav unit speak during route guidance. I'm wondering if I have to have the XM unit connected to the system to get all those options. The issue I was having with the XM unit connected was that it would continue to play the xm music but wouldn't play anything I have the AUX connected to.

So to update, after I did some fishing around and unhooking and reconnecting I figured out how to get this unit working while still having the use of my xm radio. Basically once it is connected you get a 4th mode that you can only access while hitting the mode button on the steering wheel which is CD-C. It is just an extension that the grom unit made there. So now it works just normal like the AUX is built into the car. I drilled a hole through my "No an ashtray" section and just run the cord through there. I only kept coins in there before but it seems to be a fine place to keep it.
